Custom Handmade Kitchen Knives

The kitchen knives are made with quality high carbon steel from lumber mills. Lumber mill saw blades are a superb source of knife steel stock. There are different blades in a lumber mill. Some tougher, some stronger. Each lends to a tool and knife. Please view a slide show of the carbon steel we build our knives and tools with. The prices of the chef knives vary. The range would be between $800 - $2500 for kitchen knives between 6 - 12 inch blades, $250 - $800 for kitchen blades 2 - 5 inches.

Butchery Knives

Peened teak wood scales (wood recovered from overseas freight shipping) on a 9 inch carbon steel blade, 3/16” spine. Moose antler scales on a full tang heavy duty ulu. The sheaths are made from 8 oz leather, saddle stitched by hand and the original motifs are tooled by hand.

Patinas are a form of protective oxidation against rust. A patina effectively seals in the steel. We leave the patinas and temper patterns and colours untouched on the finished blades created from the differential clay hardening and the differential temper. The patinas tell a story of how the knife has been made and where it’s from.
